Deer Creek Canyon

We went hiking Sunday and the kids did great!! Actually, I wasn't worried about Alexis - it's Logan who always wants to be in a cart - even if we are only at the store for a couple of minutes!

It was a great walk the we all had a good time - even Bogey. :)

Block Party

The weekend we returned home from Minnesota, we had a community garage sale followed by a block party.

It started out being a very hot day and Logan made a comment that it was too hot to have a block party! Later in the afternoon it became overcast, but still warm -just perfect.

There was enough food for the entire neighborhood I think and we had a lot of water balloons and squirt guns for the kids. It didn't take long for the big "kids" to get in on the act! It was a great afternoon/evening ending with sparklers and fireworks before bed. :)

July 4th

July 1st found us flying to Minnesota for our yearly trip to visit family at Lake Ada. This year was especially wonderful as all 4 of our kids were able to join us!

The afternoon we arrived, we took the kids to Mall of America where shopping and rides were thoroughly enjoyed.

The next day, we headed up to Lake Ada for fun in the sun and on the water!

Upon arrival, we found Heidi and Mom had designed an area for the kids to play and sleep in. The kids loved it and was a wonderful surprise! Cots to sleep in, a wall for art projects, TV, DVD, and Wii - who could ask for anything more? :)

We could not have had better weather the entire time we were there. Swimming, fishing, boating... so much to do!

Alexis had a blast jumping off the boat! (be sure your sound is on!!) :)

Decorating the boat for the 4th of July parade is always a lot of fun.

We are looking forward to next year!
